Pricing FAQ

Everything you need to know about Mobiz pricing

  1. How does credit usage and credit rollover work?

Monthly credits are replenished each month on the date (day) of sign up. These replenished credits will be used first, followed by any leftover credits from the previous month. Leftover credits will be rolled over and valid for one month only. Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) credits will be used last as these are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

  2. Can I top up my credits?

Yes - you're able to top up with Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) credits, as these are valid for a year from the date of purchase.

Alternatively, you can upgrade your plan to one with more credits. This means your credits will get replenished each month with a newly increased total. The per SMS rate is also lower with a plan upgrade in comparison to a PAYG purchase, so you get better value by choosing the upgrade route.

  3. What do credits cost?

    Monthly credits: $0.01
    PAYG credits: $0.02

  4. What does an engagement campaign cost (SMS with landing page)?

An engagement campaign SMS that stays under 160 characters, including your campaign URL, will cost 1 credit. Should you go over the character limit, you will be charged 2 credits. The total amount of credits for a campaign will be displayed on the review page.

  5. What does a Standard SMS cost (text-only SMS)

As with engagement campaigns, a standard SMS with 160 characters costs 1 credit per SMS. Should you go over the character limit, you will be charged 2 credits. The total amount of credits for a campaign will be displayed on the review page.

Discover how to send a Standard SMS in our Creating a Standard SMS article.

  6. What does a multimedia message cost (MMS)?

A standard MMS with 1 570 characters has a cost of 3 credits per MMS sent. You cannot exceed the 1 570 characters and will only be charged 1 MMS per customer that you send to. The total amount of credits for a campaign will be displayed on the review page.

  7. What does a test SMS cost?

A test SMS costs 1-3credits (dependent on length or whether there is an image in the SMS deeming it a MMS). Save your credits by using the in-app “Preview as” function to get a lifelike idea of how your campaign will appear to any customer in your audience. Then, only send your test once you are completely satisfied with your campaign.

  8. What do Text-to-Join keywords cost?

Setting up a Text-to-join keyword within your Mobiz account has no charge. However, when a customer texts your keyword to your sender number, a total of 2 credits per contact can be deducted:

    • 1 credit for the incoming SMS that the contact sent to prompt them to subscribe

    • 1 credit for the outbound welcome SMS that the contact will receive upon subscribing

Learn how to get started Creating Text to Join Keywords.

  9. What happens when my credits run low?

Once your credits reach 0, you will no longer be able to send messages to any of your contacts. This also means that any messages you receive from your contacts will not show up in the inbox, nor will the contact be added to your database if they are using a text to join keyword to subscribe to your organization updates. Any sending or scheduling of campaigns will be affected with low credits.

    Specific effects on each feature.

    • Scheduled campaigns : these will not be sent, unless you buy additional credits.

    • Automations : no contact will be enrolled into an automation, they will therefore not receive any automated message. You will not be able to enable any disabled automation.

    • Text-to-join keywords : Active keywords are disabled and no contact will be added to your database.

    • Inbox : No incoming message will be received and you won't be able to send a message.
