A branded short link is simply your brand name in the domain and a shortened version that’s being shared. Think initials, nickname, short sweet, and to the point but still branded to your business. These are great for accomplishing the following:

How to connect your custom branded domain to Mobiz

First, it is important to note that you are going to need to utilize your existing company domain and create a new subdomain or you can purchase a completely new domain (preferably a shortened version to help you save character space for your texts). If purchasing your own, We highly recommend using reputable domain extensions such as .com if possible. This will help with your message deliverability.

If you are using your existing domain, here is a quick walk-through (by GoDaddy) of creating a sub-domain that you can dedicate for your Mobiz-powered text messaging.

1. Once you have the above sorted here is a quick step-by-step of entering your domain on Mobiz:

2. Once you have saved your domain on Mobiz, you need to log in to your domain provider and add the following DNS settings:

Point the new CNAME to http://mobiz-smart-proxy-app-prod.azurewebsites.net/

3. Once you have updated the above settings, return to Mobiz and select Verify connection on the branded links page within account management.

An error toast may appear when you select Verify connection as sometimes this can take a bit of time to reflect.

4. If the status updates to Generating SSL certificate your domain has been verified and give the team at Mobiz at least 24 hours to connect your domain before sending any campaigns.

If the status updates to Error: values don't match, please recheck your DNS settings or your entered domain within Mobiz. You may edit the domain by clicking the edit pen next to the domain entered and then select Retry.

Check back in 24 hours and your new custom domain status should have status Connected.
